Septic Tank Pumping

Time for a pumping

Septic systems are extremely effective in breaking down waste but eventually sludge and scum begin to accumulate. If sludge builds to the height of the outlet baffle it could flow into the second chamber and disperse to the drain line, clogging the system. Therefore, when sludge and scum equal 35 percent of the tank volume, it’s time for a pumping.
